This issue of the Journal of Futuristic Sciences and Applications presents unique and varied studies. Foremost, researchers and control engineers have long struggled with the challenge of creating a non-linear controller. Multiple inputs and outputs are available to the robotic manipulators. Thus, the focus of the first study by Shashank Saxena titled ‘Designing and Modelling of Nonlinear Controller’ is on the two types of link manipulators.

Additionally, to test the performance of GA, Mohan Gupta in his study titled ‘Evaluation of Genetic Algorithm Optimization by Comparative Analysis of Error Values,’ carries out a comparative study between PI and PD Controllers.

The goal of the next study by Dharmendra Kumar Tiwari titled ‘Fabrication, Characterisation, and Multiscale Modelling of an Epoxy Composite of Amine-Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes included three stages of Carbon Fibre’ is to analyse the effect that functionalization has on the material characteristics of multiscale carbon epoxy composites, in addition to determining how efficiently carbon nanotubes are distributed throughout the material (CNTs).

The NPIC (Nonlinear Proportional Integral Controller) has been studied in the next paper by Sharad Chandra Srivastava titled ‘Modelling and Optimization of Nonlinear Proportional Integral Controller,’ and a genetic method has been used to find the smallest possible error.

The paper titled ‘Modulation Control of Impedance Inverter to achieve Simple and Maximum Boosted Output’ by Sudhir Kumar Katiyar sheds light on the impedance source inverter provided with triggering pulses generated by the maximum boost control modulation technique. This study also compares and contrasts the modulation techniques used for 3-ZSI in order to highlight their fundamental differences. It then offers a practical method for obtaining high output voltage with minimal voltage stress on the inverter's switching components.

In another interesting paper by Shashank Saxena titled ‘Optimal Drive Cycle Control For Energy Storage Systems In Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle,’ the parallel HEV is modelled by using ADVISOR and Different SOC limits are taken for testing the performance and fuel economy for the same designed driving cycle. With the simulation results, the best upper and lower limits of SOC can be specified such that the vehicle will achieve the best fuel economy and emission performance.

Following the aforementioned, Kiran Singh’s study titled ‘PV Panel Efficiency Improvement Using Nanofluids,’ emphasizes the use of different nanofluids to cool PV panels by circulating inside the tubes attached to the panel's back. The temperature of the PV Panel, as a result of using different nanofluids, was simulated using the numerical model for nanofluid heat transfer.

The paper on ‘PWM Strategy with Multiple Carriers for Hybrid Multilevel Inverters Adapted from PV-Based’ by Toran Verma makes a design recommendation for a multilayer solar inverter that uses the level shift pulse width modulation technology.

Lastly, Tarun Sikarwar’s study titled ‘Structural and Viscoelastic Characteristics of Numerous Layered Graphene/Epoxy Nanocomposites’ describes the production of in-situ amine placed in contact gently exfoliate graphene with many layers, low degradation contents, and average aspect ratios up to 10 microns and thickness up to 2-3 Nanometer.

We hope this issue of the Journal of Futuristic Sciences and Applications is illuminating and insightful for our readers and motivates potential authors to make more unique, diverse and topical contributions to the journal.
